I'd never thought about creating a parent/teacher blog. The idea is pretty cool and I'd like to expand on it in the future.

I had some minor difficulties with the picture/text alignment. I still don't think its as cohesive as I'd like.
Also, the HTML for the youtube video I wanted to display wasn't working. This might have been because I attempted to copy/paste it from my google-sites page. Once I figure out how to get it to work, I'd like to update my blog.

I created as way of communicating with parents, as a supplement to my class website. The initial posts are simply to introduce parents to web-based learning and help explain the rationale for incorporating technology into as much of their student's educational experience as possible.

Enjoy!

Please visit http://mwardit7360.blogspot.com/ to view my class blog. It is directed towards the students' parents as a way for them to be up-to-date with things done in class, and ideas on how they can help their children succeed in class. The information on the blog is geared towards technology - what we have been using in the classroom and why I chose to use it. It also gives recommendations on things they can use at home.

This blog has been created for Social Studies teachers to have a forum in which to share about the use of technology in their classrooms.

The blog was relatively easy to create and use. I hope that once I start my real teaching job that I can just tweak some things and have the blog ready to go for my class. The most difficult part of the lesson was trying to embed the YouTube video into the blog, but now that I have figured it out, it should be easy next time.
