Hello Spring 2009 IT 7360 class,

Below is the address to my blog. I was amazed at how user friendly the blogger.com program turned out to be. I've been reading blogs for years, especially during the elections, and never thought that I'd be able to create one. Based on the readings this week, it's wonderful to see how enthusiastic children are when working on blogs and sharing the material with the world.

Enjoy,
Debra

I enjoyed this assignment and enjoyed creating a blog for parents to view. I have never read a blog before or even thought of creating one, but I now see the usefulness of them in the classroom. They are a great way to communicate information to both parents and students.

I am really surprised at how user-friendly blogger is. I would like to use a blog when I get into the public schools. I wrote my blog as a resource for teachers. The address is http://teachkidswithtech.blogspot.com

Here is the link to my blog. It is in a journal format to be shared with our class. I particularly hope that the Planet Earth trailer encourages you to watch the series - it is on the Discovery Channel right now. Never has learning been so fun!

Here is the address for my blog that I created for my classmates in IT 7360: http://technologymusingsme.blogspot.com/

In doing this, I realized that I have been reading and posted a comment on a blog just recently. The blog was set up to get information out to family and friends about someone who was very sick and in the hospital. It allowed us to be kept informed and for everyone to post well wishes and support messages. In about two weeks there were more than 400 comments of support from people all around the world. Such a simple tool, and yet such a powerful result.
