In Honor of Ada Lovelace

Today, internationally, is Ada Lovelace Day. Ada Lovelace, formally Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace born 10 December 1815, is known for her contributions in the advancement of technology, especially as the world's first programmer.

I promised I would write a blog post on this day, as are people around the world, about a woman in technology whom I admire, in honor of Ada.

I admire all of my students, who work so hard to incorporate technology into the classroom (female and male). It is through your work that we make learning more relevant for all students.

My best to all of you!

Dr. S.
