I really liked this assignment. I've always thought about creating a blog, but never felt like I really had a good reason to. Now, though, I much more fully understand the possibilities that blogs give us. We can use them in the classroom, to communicate with parents, students, other teachers, etc. It's a great idea! I enjoyed this assignment also! I've always wondered what the draw is to blogs. This is another great way to communicate with parents, and it seems like it would be easier to keep updated than a website. I also like the idea of using it as a forum for discussion with students. I think that anything online tends to be more engaging for students, and this is another great technology to use in the classroom. It was interesting to read some other educator's blogs to see how they use them, such as using it as a reflective log.

This assignment was a bit of a challenge for me, but I ended up enjoying it. My student teacher thinks it's a great idea. I plan to use it this summer with a group of new interns. If I get comfortable enough with it, maybe I'll incorporate it into my high school classroom! :->

I, like the others, believe that a blog is a modern and effective tool for gathering opinions on an issue. I think that it is a great way to have a class meeting without using too much instructional time. The students can voice their input in a timely manner at a moment of downtime in the classroom and the teacher can continue instruction...My blog address is http://keilana-keilana.blogspot.com/

I did struggle with the UTube but once I figured it out I want to add more so I can use in the class room since UTube is blocked by the county. Blogs have so much potential and I cant wait to get one up and running for my future classroom. Check my blog at http://zohbesclass.blogspot.com/

I haven't been able to get around to this assignment until today due to preparing for my livetext presentation. Blogs are a very interesting concept that could be a very useful instructional tool for educators. However, I question how many students, parents, or other teachers would even consider visiting blogs on a consistent basis. On the other hand, there are millions of individuals addicted to myspace/facebook, who sign in every couple of hours so who knows...

I, too, struggled a bit on my initial blog, but I enjoyed creating the blog for mathematics. I want to start using this concept to keep in touch with all of the instructors I service, so I might be creating another blog tomorrow. :) My blog address is http://it7360spring2009.blogspot.com/
Enjoy!

I enjoyed this assignment! Blogger makes it very easy to create your own blog, even if you've never done anything like this before (I haven't). I think parents would definitely use a blog to communicate with their child's teacher or ask questions. It's a great way to have updated information readily available to parents and students.

My blog is at http://teachertechtalk-lberberich1.blogspot.com/.
It is designed so that each posting is about integrating technology into the math classroom. Since only 1/3 of my students have access to the internet outside of school, I see blogs as a communication tool with other teachers more than one with students or parents.

I enjoyed this assignment. I have heard of blogging but was unsure about how to get started. This lesson helped me to do so. It seems to be a good way to communicate with students and parents. My blog address is http://it7360gsu-john.blogspot.com/
